The Jolliest Santa this side of the North Pole. Bringing Joy to kids young and old, with a HEART as big as his BELLY!

Pittsburgh’s Jolliest Santa has been appearing in the Greater Pittsburgh area for the past 17 years. No event is too big or too small.

In 2002, I started playing Santa at Kaufmann’s in downtown Pittsburgh. I still remember my first day. It seemed like forever to get dressed as Santa. Once dressed, I was ready to go to the Santaland for my first day. I was nervous. My manager came to me and told me that Newsweek Magazine was there to observe me and interview me after my shift was over. This really added to my nervousness.

After the shift, the Newsweek reporter came to interview me and the first question he asked me was.”How long have you been playing Santa?” I replied, “This was my first day.” He said, “You are a natural with the way you handle children, I thought you had been playing Santa for years.” I was Santa at Kaufmann’s until it closed, and Macy’s took over the downtown store. I continued playing Santa until the downtown Macy’s store was closed.

Since going on my own, I joined the professional international group, “The Real Beard and Belly Santa.” which consists of Santa’s from around the world.

In the years that I have been playing Santa, I have done many light up nights, the biggest one was when KDKA invited my wife and me to do Pittsburgh’s Light Up Night in Point State Park. It was enjoyable being interviewed on both KDKA’s TV and radio the day of the light up night. The highlight to the evening was when Mrs. Claus and I were on the stage. We lead over 200,000 people at Point State Park in singing Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

The youngest baby that Santa has held. She was only 4 days old.

I have appeared at many community light up nights, and also have been in many Parades, Breakfast with Santa, Dinner with Santa, Children’s Christmas parties, Adult’s Christmas parties, Restaurant appearances, Assisted Living Grandparents/Grandchildren parties, Corporate Christmas celebrations, Hotel Christmas celebrations, just to name a few.

At churches I have done breakfast with Santa and dinner with Santa.  But 12 years ago I approached our pastor and asked if I could be Santa at the Children’s mass. He thought it was a good idea. At the end of mass father asks the kids, “Do you hear that.” At that point I start ringing my bells, the church gets quiet as a church mouse, and I proceed down the church aisle holding up high a gift for baby Jesus. I go to the manger, take my hat off, kneel down, put the gift next to the Baby Jesus and say a prayer. After I get up, put my hat on, and as I am leaving I wish everyone a “Blessed and Merry Christmas.” You would not believe the amount of adults who come up to me afterwards saying, “I cried when you went up to the manager and showed the children the true meaning of Christmas, not Santa but the Birth of Jesus.”

I have had many articles written about me in newspapers and magazines.

I was the Santa for many years at Kaufmann’s and Macy’s in the musical, “Virginia’s Magical Christmas.”

I am also available for your office party, birthday party, fundraiser, and even your home for a special visit for your children, grandchildren and friends.

I am fully insured and have Pennsylvania child abuse clearances, Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check clearances, and FBI fingerprint based record check clearances. (Available upon request)
